Are there references I can check before requesting an assessment?

How do I check if my evaluation will be accepted before I pay for it?

New Directions assessments are accepted by most state court systems and DMVs, including those in California. Feel free to call us or to contact the authority that ordered your assessment. You can also visit the "check my state" map on our home page.

Will I receive a copy of the assessment when it’s done?

Your evaluator will e-mail you your report after it is completed. You can either forward your report to the requesting authority or give the evaluator permission to send it for you. Exceptions may apply in cases where there is an official court order.

What if my assessment isn’t accepted? Can I receive a refund?

Refunds are offered in accordance with the policy laid out in our Terms of Service. When the authority that ordered you to complete an evaluation will not accept our assessment and you meet the conditions of our Terms of Service refund policy, we will refund your assessment fee (rush-processing fees are excluded from refunds). Refunds must be requested within 45 days of completing the assessment process. Please go to our Terms of Service and read the refund policy carefully before making your request.

Help! My evaluation is due right away. Can you meet my deadline?

We offer rush processing services for deadlines that are fewer than five working days away. Please contact us before requesting your evaluation to make certain we can complete your service in time for your deadline. Additional fees will apply.

Does New Directions make sure my data is kept private?

Yes. The privacy and security of client information is a top priority for us.

To secure your information, we:

  • All records are stored on SSL-encrypted servers
  • NDSBS does not record sessions conducted via webcam/video
